MN Conservation Corps crews from Bemidji, Park Rapids and Brainerd paid a visit to campus on Monday. Many of the young adults with MCC are interested in pursuing green-collar careers so got the opportunity to get hands-on with green projects. While on site crew members sifted clay, stomped and applied cob, set up solar collectors for sunsoaking, prepared collectors for an installation and a couple got to help with the actual manufacture of a collector.
Crew members share their adventures with State Representatives John Ward and Larry Howes
State Representative Larry Howes, MCC Executive Director Len Price and State Representative John Ward observe the crew as they cob the wind hut.
The ever-popular, cob stomping.
